Programs

Empowering the next generation

At AAD, our programs bridge the gap between potential and opportunity. We forge career pathways for under-resourced AAPI undergraduates to connect with mentors, develop professionally, and achieve their unique vision of success. Through strategic partnerships and community-rooted initiatives, we’re fostering a strong and supportive AAPI community.

Kin Mentorship Program

Empowering under-resourced AAPI undergraduates through career-centric, community-rooted mentorship.

AAD’s signature, 6-month program catalyzes career success and stewards a supportive community for 250 AAPI undergraduates and 250 AAPI professionals in the New York metropolitan area.

Through strategic partnerships with industry leaders, we are illuminating roads to career success and dismantling the model minority myth by nurturing community, belonging, and boundless confidence.

Partners: Amazon, American Express, Bank of America, Capri, Citi, Deloitte, Google, JPMorgan Chase, KKR, LinkedIn, McKinsey, Meta, Microsoft, Mizuho, National Grid, Skadden, Warburg Pincus, Wells Fargo, Zimmer Biomet

Thriving AANHPI Leadership Accelerator

Empowering AANHPI students to lead, thrive, and succeed — on their own terms.

TALA (Thriving AANHPI Leadership Accelerator) is a career and leadership development program that supports economic mobility and holistic wellbeing for underrepresented Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) college students in the NYC and SF Bay Areas.

TALA is designed for 18-25 year old students who are first-generation to college and/or low-income, and are interested in personal growth and exploring diverse career paths. By joining, participants receive a $1,000 stipend, exclusive swag, and culturally-relevant career and leadership training. The program also offers mentorship from AANHPI professionals, community care, networking opportunities, and engaging social events.
